Nancy married Lewis Latham before 1848. Lewis was born about 1790 in South Carolina; died after 1860 in Sabine County, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Married:
Paul Latham has their date of marriage as March 10, 1833, in Clarke County, Arkansas. However, according to the 1835 Sabine District, Texas, census, Lewis was widowed. No wife is listed. Additionally, the children of Lewis and Nancy were not born until after 1849. Why would their be a 16 year gap after their marriage?

1. William Moses Latham was born in Mar 1849 in Sabine County, Texas; died in 1912 in Otero County, New Mexico.
2. Eliza R. Latham was born in 1851 in Sabine County, Texas; and died.
3. Frances M. Latham was born in 1853 in Sabine County, Texas; and died.
