    Dorothy Wiggs, shows that he married first Ann Batchalder (AKA Bachelier) on 28 May 1763 at St. Mathhew's, Bethnal Green, Londonn. They were the parents of Ann Duval. Guillaume's first wife died soon after the birth of their daughter. Dorothy further noted that he was "Christened at the house by Mr.Balguerie and recorded in register of French Church, La Patente de Spitalfield. Sponsers were Guillaume Duval and Marie Duval. Marriage to Ann by licence at St. Mathew's, Bethnal Green, London. Both made their mark. Witnesses were Ph: Ja: May, Peter Duval. Marriage to Margaret by banns at St. Leonard's, Shoreditch, London. He signed, she made her mark. Witnesses were Thomas Maund and Esther Goodey. He was listed as a weaver in records of the childrens' baptisms."
