Gertrude Octavia Russell

She is entered in a history published by the Genealogy Society of Roosevelt County New Mexico. It was noted that she was a seamstress from Billings, Oklahoma and was looking for a greener pastures when she came to New Mexico. She was said to be the daughter of Samuel F. Russell, born ca 1833, in Coatsville, PA, and d. 8-1917 at age 84. He was married to an Inez on 14 Jan 1851 in Cleveland, Ohio. Other children, James Russell (son by his first wife, Elizabeth Moore), and Charlie Lovington Russell.

Gertrude married Joseph M. Stockbridge on 25 Feb 1908 in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. Joseph (son of Ebenezer Stockbridge and Mary C. Goodin) was born on 18 Sep 1862 in Greenville, Davidson County, Tennessee; died on 25 Nov 1912 in Olustee, Jackson County, Oklahoma. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
