17 Apr 1959 - Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Eason, age 84, who died at her home, April 9, were conducted at McComic cemetery at 2 p.m. April 10 with Rev. Lonnie Johnson officiating. Interment was in McComic cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral home.

Survivors are son, F. E. Eason of Many; daughters, Mrs. Lena Baldwin of Many, Mrs. Tabitha Maxey of Zwolle; brother, Hoyt Flurry of Huntington, Texas, 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Howard Baldwin, Herman Baldwin, Stanley Baldwin, R. L. Maxey, Lee Thomas and Clyde Anderson.

Josephine married Shedrick Arthur "Buck" Eason on 8 Oct 1893 in Sabine Parish, Louisiana. Shedrick (son of John William Eason and Nancy Hall) was born on 25 Feb 1872 in Many, Sabine Parish, Louisiana; died on 30 Jun 1955 in Sabine Parish, Louisiana; was buried in McComic Cemetery, Sabine Parish, Louisiana. 1. Tabitha Eason was born on 24 Jul 1913; died on 6 Mar 1969 in Zwolle, Sabine Parish, Louisiana; was buried in Aimwell Cemetery, Zwolle, Sabine Parish, Louisiana.
