Effie Lewis

Notes:

Effie was the daughter of David W. LEWIS of Sangamon County, Illinois and Mollie J. BRIZINDINE. Effie's father was in the 10th Illinois Cavalry. He moved to Arapahoe, Nebraska after the death of his wife.

Effie met her husband John while she was teaching at the Possum Hill School in Tobias. She was lodging with John's uncle, Noah Frankforter.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and Ladies Aide. She was one of the first members of the Milligan Methodist Church. She was also active in the Milligan Library and was president of the Library Board from 1951 to 1956 and served as a librarian for about 15 years. (Milligan, p 271).

Effie married John Bell Frankforter on 3 Jun 1906 in Western, Saline County, Nebraska. John was born on 25 Sep 1882 in Saline County, Nebraska; died on 6 May 1963 in Milligan, Fillmore County, Nebraska; was buried in Atlanta Center Cemetery, Saline County, Nebraska. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

3. Dale Lewis Frankforter was born on 11 Nov 1912 in Nebraska; died on 1 Jun 1978 in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado.
4. Margaret Ellen Frankforter was born on 28 Jul 1915 in Nebraska; died on 9 May 1964 in Santa Monica, Los Angeles County, California.
5. Wayne William Frankforter was born on 12 May 1922 in Nebraska; died on 5 May 1984 in Hawthorne, Los Angeles County, California.
