Obituary for Sharon E. Hromadka
A Funeral Service for Sharon will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva. Kim Dunker will preside over the Funeral Service.

A Graveside Service will be held in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Milligan following the Funeral Service.

Public Visitation will be on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

Sharon Elaine Hromadka, age 75, of York, Nebraska passed away on June 8th, 2022 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Sharon was born to Milo & JoAnn (Lottes) Slezak on November 21, 1946 in York, Nebraska.

Sharon worked for over 40 years as the Executive Coordinator for York General Hospital Environmental Services Department. She was hardworking and committed not only to her profession, but to her family as well.

Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She took great pride in ensuring her loved ones were always put first and cared for.

Sharon is survived by her son, Darren Hromadka of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren Alexis (Jason) Hoff of York, Nebraska; Carston and Crew Hromadka of Lincoln, Nebraska; great-granddaughter Lakelynn Jo Hoff of York, Nebraska; siblings Mike (Risa) Slezak of York, Nebraska, Mark (Cheryl) Slezak of Geneva, Nebraska. Mary Richardson and the late David Richardson of Murdock, Kansas; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Milo and JoAnn; husbands Roland and Ronald; and sister Beverly.

Sharon married Roland Gene Hromadka on 16 Sep 1967 in Nebraska. Roland (son of Living and Living) was born on 9 Mar 1947 in Ohiowa, Fillmore County, Nebraska; died on 18 Feb 1968 in Ohiowa, Fillmore County, Nebraska; was buried in Bohemian Brethren Cemetery (AKA Cesky Bratri Cemetery), Fillmore County, Nebraska. Sharon married Ronald Dean Hromadka after 1968. Ronald (son of Living and Living) was born on 9 Mar 1947 in Ohiowa, Fillmore County, Nebraska; died on 6 Apr 1993. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Milo married JoAnn Lottes on 13 Jan 1945. JoAnn was born on 26 Dec 1928 in York County, Nebraska; died on 13 Sep 2012 in Fairmont, Fillmore County, Nebraska. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

JoAnn (Lottes) Slezak Wiese was born to Leo Lottes and Hazel (Conner) Lottes on December 26, 1928 at York and passed away at the Fairview Manor in Fairmont on September 13, 2012.
JoAnn was married to Milo Slezak on January 13, 1945 and five children were born to this union. Later in life, she was married to Kenny Wiese.

JoAnn loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved camping, fishing, and card games. Her family will cherish her loving memory.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; two sisters; two brothers; daughter Beverly Slezak; sons-in-law Roland Hromadka and David Richardson.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Hromadka of Waco and Mary Richardson of Murdock, Kan.; Sons Mike Slezak and wife Risa of York and Mark Slezak and wife Cheryl of Exeter; grandchildren Darren and wife Amy Hromadka of Gretna, Kristi Morrow and husband Terry of Lincoln, Shaun Slezak of York, Corey Blakemore and husband Jay of Lincoln, Jimi Richardson and wife Ashley of Cheney, Kan., Misty Brock and husband James of Burleson, Texas, and Brittany Smith and husband Ryan of Wichita, Kan.; great-grandchildren Alexis Hromadka of York, Tanner Blakemore of Lander, Wyo., Riley Slezak of Lincoln, Jaxon Morrow of Lincoln, Kaydyn Weaver of Gretna, Jesse and Haley Brock of Burleson, Texas, Ava and Jayli Richardson of Cheney, Kan., Brileigh Smith of Wichita, Kan., Carston Hromadka of Gretna and Vayda Slezak of Hastings.

Josefa (daughter of Matej "Mike" Simacek, Jr. and Marie Polak) was born on 28 Dec 1892 in Saline County, Nebraska; died on 12 Jul 1962 in Geneva, Fillmore County, Nebraska; was buried in Bohemian National Cemetery (Milligan South), Milligan, Fillmore County, Nebraska. Frantisek married Barbora "Barbara" Kasak on 20 Jun 1886. Barbora (daughter of Jan "John" Kasak and Marie Simacek) was born about 1858 in Bohemia; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

At the time of the 1900 census, she was living in Liberty Township, Fillmore County, Nebraska with her six youngest children, ans shown as a widow, born in August 1852 in Bohemia. The 1910 census showed her to be the mother of 13 children, eight of whom were still living.
