In 1910, she was living with her 29 year old son, Scott E.V. McLemore, and next door to daughter and son-in-law Florence and Nathan LEE.

She was living with her son, Abram "Napolean" McLemore, in Forrest County, Mississippi at the time of the 1920 census.

Susan married John Thomas McLemore in Oct 1862 in Mississippi. John (son of Josiah McLemore and Sarah Jane Fairchild) was born about 1838 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi; died on 4 Sep 1905 in Forrest County, Mississippi. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Ellen applied for a Confederate pension on 10 July 1906, based on the service of her late husband. She stated she was 65 years old (born ca 1841) and had been a resident of Mississippi her entire life. She was widowed from John T. McLemore--having been married in October 1862---and he died 4 Sep 1905.
