2. | Henry Toliver McLemore was born on 19 Aug 1837 in Logan County, Kentucky (son of Joel McLemore, III and Rachel Stinson); died on 4 Mar 1909. Notes:
At the time of the 1860 census, Henry McLemore was a boarder in the home of John and Mary Hamline, District 1 of Logan County, Kentucky, Post office South Union. He is listed as Henry McLemore, 25, M Farm Laborer, $100, Kentucky.
Obituary:
Henry T. McLemore, son of Joel McLemore, was born in Logan County, Kentucky, August 19, 1837. He was converted at the age of 21, and joined Liberty Baptist church, same county. He married Miss Nancy B. King, daughter of John King, same county, on February 17, 1863. Ten children blessed this union, three dying in infancy. Those surviving are as follows: Miss Lucy, Statesboro, Georgia; James Stacker, Thomson, Georgia; Mrs. Jameson (Martha) Pearson, Woodburn, Kentucky; Albert King, Statesboro, Georgia; C.T., Statesboro, Ga.; Mrs Layton (Emma) Maddox, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Orville L., Statesboro, Ga.
His life was spent in the county and State of his birth, until his removal to Statesboro, Ga., January 3, 1905. He passed away on March 4, 1909. His health had been declining for about two and a half years. For about six weeks before his death he was confined to his bed, and then he passed to be with his Savior, for as he said, quoting the apostle, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
During his last illness he exhibited remarkable patience in suffering, resignation to the will of his Lord, unbounded gratitude that his children were all Christians, and the tenderest solicitude in behalf of unsaved friends.
We commend the bereaved wife and children to the Great Comforter and cherish the hope to meet him in the house of many mansions.

|
3. | Nancy Belle King was born in Oct 1842 in Kentucky; died about 1920. Notes:
"Grandmother, Nancy Belle King, became Mrs. Henry Toliver McLemore. Grandmother's sisters, Lucy and Dora King, became Lucy Woodward and Dora Henderson. Their mother was Henrietta King. (So John King had two wives: Jane Bratton and Henrietta ??? her maiden surname unknown. Lucy and Dora King are half sisters to Nancy Belle King. Assume one wife died, thus the remarriage.)"

It is not know with certainty if Joseph is a son or grandson. As there was an 8 year gap between he and Sarah, and as Rachel would have been age 51 at the time of this birth, it is likely that he is not their son.
Note: after Joseph's name, the following notation was made and circled. It was on the very last line of the page ("Omitted 8 lines).
