The daughter of Willis Pinkney KENNEDY and Ella Ophelia LOVELL. (The Heritage of Lauderdale County, Alabama, p. 346). Willis was a son of Simpson KENNEDY and Georgiana Pearl LEATHERWOOD, for whom a more complete biography can be found in the same book, pages 291 and 292.

Vona married Earl McLemore, Jr. on 13 Apr 1935 in Elgin, Lauderdale County, Alabama. Earl (son of Earl Briggs "Early" McLemore and Lucy Bertha Smith) was born on 28 Jan 1915 in Limestone County, Alabama; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Earl and Vona had two children Charles Edward McLemore who married Dorothy MATTHIAS and had three girls, Vona, Thresa and DANIELLE.

Their [Earl and Vona's] other child was Frances Audene McLemore who married James M. CAMPBELL and had one son James Christopher CAMPBELL who married Denise CONWAY and had three girls, Ashley Chrystal, Terri Denise and Mary Caroline CAMPBELL. (The Heritage of Lauderdale County, Alabama, p. 346).
