    Douglas Ray Ener, Jr.

    Douglas Ray Ener, Jr., 38, of Lumberton died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at his residence. Ener was born on Nov. 9, 1967, in Kountze, and worked as an industrial manager for PSC in Beaumont. He was an active member of Christ Community Church of Beaumont and was a devoted volunteer of Power Castle Ministries. Survivors: his wife, Theresa Ener of Lumberton, children, Emily Ener, Chase Ener, and Jessica Ener, all of Lumberton; parents Douglas and Shelia Ener of Honey Island; brother Charles Ener of Honey Island; and his grandmother, Jessie Ener of Yellowpine. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Broussard's Mortuary Chapel in Kountze. Interment followed at Jordan Cemetery in Honey Island. Memorial contributions may be made to Power Castle Ministries, P.O. Box 5331, Beaumont, TX, 77726. Services were under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary in Kountze.

    Hudie W. Ener

    Hudie W. Ener, 92, of Yellowpine died Friday, May 13, 2005 at his residence. Ener was born March 29, 1913 in Yellowpine as a son of the late Margaret (Sanford) and Hartman Ener and was a longtime resident of Sabine County. He retired from Union Oil Company as a refinery worker and was a member of Yellowpine Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Jessie Ener of Yellowpine; sons, Terrell Ener of Cherokee, Iowa, Douglas Ener of Honey Island, and Wilson Ener of Saratoga; daughter, Adell WALTERS of Yellowpine; 15 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great granchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Ener. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Yellowpine Macedonia Baptist Church with Terrell Ener, M.L. WALTERS, and Joe LORD officiating. Interment was at Ener Cemetery in Yellowpine. Services were under the direction of Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.

    Notes:

    Jessie Viola Ener, 97, of Yellowpine, died Thursday morning in her home. She was born in Sabinetown to Jim and Mary Ella Murdock Morris. Jessie had worked as a nurses aid in nursing homes. She was a devoted housewife and mother, farmed most of her life, and was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Yellowpine.

    Mrs. Ener is survived by her sons; Terrell Ener and his wife Dorothy of Meriden, Iowa, Douglas Ener and his wife Shelia of Honey Island, TX, Wilson Ener and his wife Mary of Hemphill, her daughter Adell Walters and her husband M.L. of Hemphill, fourteen grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, thirty-seven great great grandchildren and twenty-five step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Hudie Ener, her son Wayne Ener and grandchildren Melvin Walters, Douglas Ener, Jr. and Kaylene Ener.

    Visitation will begin at 5:00PM, Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Yellowpine and continue until service time at 10:00AM, Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, in the Church. Burial will follow in the Ener Cemetery near Yellowpine.

    Celebration

    On Oct. 20, Hudie and Jessie Ener of Yellowpine, will celebrate 67 years of marriage. The invite all of their friends and family to joing them at their home for a fish fry and barbecue with all the trimmings. The couple's home is located on Ener Cemetery Road off Hwy. 87 near Yellowpine. Married Oct. 20, 1934, in Hemphill at the old Methodist church by Rev. Brown, the couple has five children: Wayne of Hull, Terrell of Pocatello, Idaho, Adell Walters of Yellowpiner, Douglas of Honey Island and Wilson of Saratoga. They have 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. The Eners invite you to join them or drop by anytime, have lunch at noon and visit awhile. The couple requests, "No gifts please."
