Known as Mr. Mack. Was a logger, who recalls the days when rafting logs down the Sabine River to Orange was an annual trip. A log drive was an exciting adventure, full of surprises, but it was no place for any man or boy who could not swim well or who was afraide of a cold plunge into the deep waters, often full of timber for miles on end, which could be dangerous.
