A daughter of Otto and Minnie Ortgies Langhorst. (Millingan, 1988-2008, p. 130). Dennis Belohlavy noted that there was " a birthday announcement in today's (29 Jan) Lincoln Journal Star for Enola (LANGHORST) BUZEK. The article states that she will be 95 on 02 Feb so I have added her birthday in my file."

Enola Mae Buzek, age 95, passed away peacefully at a Lincoln care facility the early morning of October 6, 2023. She was born near Bruning, Nebraska, on February 2, 1928, and was preceded in death by her parents Otto Henry Langhorst and Minnie Marie (Ortgies) Langhorst along with husband Raymond Buzek, and brothers Edward, Robert, and Dennis Langhorst.
Enola is survived by sister Marjorie Kuska; by her son Jack Buzek; daughter Terri Brue and husband Stan; and grandson Craig Brue. Jack, Terri, and Stan had the good fortune of being in Lincoln by her bedside in the final days of her life.
She graduated from Ohiowa High School, Fairbury College, and the University of Nebraska? Lincoln. Before moving to Lincoln, Enola lived in rural Milligan where she helped farm with her husband Ray Buzek. She also taught at a one-room, K-8 rural school house and Milligan Elementary after obtaining her teaching degree.
Enola greatly enjoyed polka dancing, gardening, and cooking. She made delicious kolaches, duck meals, and dinner rolls.
At her request, the family held a private service on Monday, October 9, 2023. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would appreciate donations to the Milligan Auditorium air conditioning project.
Enola married Raymond Buzek on 6 Jun 1947 in Fillmore County, Nebraska. Raymond (son of Rudolph Fred Buzek and Anna Nadherny) was born on 12 Mar 1921 in Fillmore County, Nebraska; died on 1 Nov 1983 in Milligan, Fillmore County, Nebraska; was buried in Bohemian National Cemetery (Milligan South), Milligan, Fillmore County, Nebraska.
