His great grandson, Charles McLemore, reports that John married again after the death of Elizabeth Young. It is possible that this second wife was Annie Howell. He would have married her sometime after the 1890 census (when his youngest daughter by Elizabeth was born), and she likely either died or divorced him prior to 1900.

(Research):
This was thought be her obituary, but this is unlikely. Census records seem to indicate she died between 1860 and 1870. Census records should first be examined to see if this is a good fit. Dickson County was adjacent to Williamson County, Tennessee.
The Dickson County Herald of Dickson, TN, dated Friday, January 22, 1909:
After a brief illness Mrs. Sallie McLemore, mother of J. P. McLemore, proprietor of the McLemore Hotel, died at the home of her son, here, at an early hour Wednesday morning aged 80 years. The remains were conveyed Wednesday to Flatwoods, Wayne County, the former home of the deceased, where they were interred Thursday. Deceased was an excellent woman and her long life was replete with noble deeds.
