Michael married Martha C. McLemore on 12 Nov 1857 in Logan County, Kentucky. Martha (daughter of Joel McLemore, III and Rachel Stinson) was born about 1840 in Logan County, Kentucky; died on 27 Feb 1883 in Logan County, Kentucky. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

"Starting from where we're common, Joel McLemore and Rachel Stinson had a buncha kids, your Henry and my Martha C. McLemore. Martha married Michael B. Maben (11/12/1857) and had three children: Sarah A. b1861, Margaret Elizabeth (Lizzie) b. 8/22/1864 and Ulyssus b.1869.

Lizzie Maben married Sebran A. Britt (1/11/1884) and they had 9 children. The family lived in and around 'Bucksville' KY (aka 'Gasper' - Auburn, P.O. - Route #2). Anyway, child #8 was my Grandpa - he was born 'Hubert' but everyone called him Pete. Pete married Birtie Mae Powell (Mae) and they had a handful of children, all still living. The oldest of these is my Dad, Leon. There is another tie to the McLemore family from the Britt family, too. Sebran had a younger brother named George (Washington) Britt. He married the granddaughter of James McLemore (Martha's and Henry's brother), Frances Elizabeth (Aunt Betty) McLemore. Her dad was John J McLemore who was married a number of times I understand. Aunt Betty lived across the street from my Grandparents, and I knew her as a boy."

In 1870, they were living in the home of Son and Dtr-in-law, Michael and Martha Maben. In 1880 they were instead living with daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and John W. Sawyer.
Both households were in Logan County, Kentucky.
