2. | James E. King, Sr. was born about 1892 in Texas; and died. Notes:
Could he be the James Ernest King, also born ca 1892, who married Edna Tatom in 1922? Seems unlikely as he and Vernon Maund can be found on both the 1920 and 1930 census listings, first in Sabine County and later in Sabine Parish, and responded that they had been married approx. 16 years.

6. | Judge Henry Clay Maund was born on 21 Apr 1844 in Georgia (son of William Wallace Maund and Caroline Young); died on 16 Aug 1920 in Sabine County, Texas; was buried in Hemphill City Cemetery, Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas. Notes:
In a family history prepared by his niece, Katherine Allen Tirado, he was instead shown as being born on April 21, 1842 in Albany, Georgia.
White and Toole show him as a son of Rev. William Maund. "The Maund brothers, Hardie, Wm, and Matt, came to America and also rec'd Crown Grants of land in Va. Rev. Wm. Maund (the son of William) and his wife Angelina moved to Alabama then to Jasper County, Texas. He organized and was pastor of the first Baptist Church in Jasper."
They further note that he "Became active in politics and served Sabine County in the State Legislature for a number of years. He was Sabine County Judge for 17 years and postmaster of Sabinetown for 10 years."
In her annontated transcription of the Hemphill City Cemetery, Kay Parker McCary shows, in error, that he was a son of William L. and Susan J. Maund. William L. Maund was actually his older half brother, and Susan Josephine Cowart Maund his sister-in-law.
On his FindAGrave memorial, created by A. Liem, Henry Clay Maund is shown as a "Son of Rev. William W Maund and Caroline Kirksey [nee Young]. Half-brother of William Lott Maund, first Mayor of Center, Shelby Co, Texas." This corresponds with census records.

?.at Sabinetown, south, in which?loyal and devoted member until God called her home.
"Miss Pattie" as she was fondly called lived a life of love and service exemplifying the life of our Lord. "Who went about doing good, ministering to the sick and needy---obeying the injunctions of scripture where we are told, that pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in time of their afflictions and to keep ones self unspotted from the world and her entire life was lived in harmony with this scripture and its teachings. All her life was thusly lived in Sabine County.
The above named relatives and a host of life long friends mourn her going.
"Servant of God, well done, Thy glorious warfare is past, The battle is fought, the victory won ___And thou are crowned at last."
