    FULLERTON '97 Juanita Lucille Elznic, 95, of Fullerton, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at Valley View Assisted Living in Fullerton.

    Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Fullerton. The Rev. Allen Pingel officiated. Burial was at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton.

    Visitation was held September 25 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.

    Palmer-Santin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Juanita was given life by her Creator and was born on Oct. 12, 1919, in Lake Charles, La. to William Cordell and Hannah Elizabeth (Lotham) Brown. Juanita graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln in 1936.

    She was married to Arthur M. DeLancey from 1937 until the time of his death in 1969. To this union, two sons were born. On Oct. 26, 1974, she received the second gift of a beloved companion in her husband, Charles Elznic, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. She resided north of Fullerton on the farm until 1980 before moving to Fullerton. She moved to Valley View Assisted Living in December 2010.

    Juanita was a longtime member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Mount Calvary LWML, and American Legion Auxiliary since 1968. She was an avid reader, loved doing crossword puzzles, enjoyed playing dominos and cards, and loved flowers. Her greatest love in life was her family.

    Survivors include her son, Arthur Charles "Chuck" (Carol) DeLancey of Fullerton; three step-children, Al (Cris) Elznic of Newman Grove, Diana Workman of Milligan, and Charlotte Elznic of Washington; seven grandchildren; and multiple great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husbands; one son, Robert; and step-son, Tom Elznic.
