    Helen Veigh Dickerson Conn went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 6, 2010, at the age of 71 years. She was born on July 29, 1938 in Burkeville, Tx and graduated from Burkeville High School. She attended Lamar University and later taught school at St. Anne's in Beaumont and at Warren Elementary in Warren, Tx. She was also a former resident of Nederland and Wildwood, Tx.

    She is survived her daughter, Suzanne Conn Brown, husband, Rick and children, Hank, Audrey and Phoebe of New Braunfels, Tx; son, Tim Conn, wife, Angela and children, Jacob and Joshua of Nacogdoches, Tx; and brother, Rush Dickerson of Lumberton, Tx. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Elray Conn of Wildwood and her parents, Rush "Doc" and Edith Pauline "Polly" McCrary Dickerson Smith.

    Visitation will be on Saturday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Farmer Funeral home in Silsbee. Funeral service will be on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Wildwood Methodist Church with burial to follow at 3:30 pm at the Burkeville Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Methodist Children's Home, 111 Herring Ave., Waco, Tx 76708.
