A Celebration of Doris Powell Barlow's Life, age 82 of Pineland, Texas, will be 2:00pm, Friday, October 22, 2021, at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel, Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Brookeland Cemetery in Brookeland. Visitation will be from 5:00 ? 8:00pm, Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the funeral home.

Doris died October 18, 2021 in Hemphill, Texas. A native of San Augustine County, Texas and a longtime resident of Pineland, Texas, Doris retired from Elliott Agri-Service in Pineland, Texas. She was very active in the First Baptist Church of Bronson and loved spending time with her family and enjoyed all sports that West Sabine had to offer.

Doris is survived by her sons, Randall Barlow & wife Pauline of England and Michael Henry Barlow of Pineland, Texas; daughter, Pamela Doris Abdallh & husband Yousef of Silsbee, Texas; brothers, James Herbert Powell of Carthage, Texas, Hollis Dwain Powell of Pasadena, Texas, Glen Bruce Powell of Spring, Texas and Charles Wayne Powell of Spring, Texas; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brink and Hallie Powell; son, Ronald Earl Barlow; sisters, Ola Mae Lee, Iva Jean Franks and Ruth Garlington; brothers, Thomas Weldon "Bill" Powell, Alfred Henry Powell and Elmer Powell.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
