    JERALD "JERRY" LYNN JIRKOVSKY

    June 6, 2022

Jerald "Jerry" Lynn Jirkovsky was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 19, 1958. He is the third of four children born to Mae-Rita (Moser) and Charles Jirkovsky. He attended grade school at St. Thomas More and graduated in 1976 from Westside High School.

Jerry loved motorcycles and going fast. After high school he attended American Motorcycle Institute in Florida, where he learned motorcycle and small engine repair, quickly learning that to stay employed all year long he would have to move to a warmer climate, California or bust.
He found work at Tustin, CA Honda. He had many jobs in California, including starting and running California Race Services along with brother Tom. They were the west coast Pirelli Road Race tire distributor. The last decade Jerry worked as a small airplane tire recycler and covered several southwestern states.

Some of his loves were motorcycle racing of all types, his two Camaros, completing 14 10k marathons and playing hockey, both as a child and through his adult years, up to two years ago. He loved his family and friends.

A special thank you goes out to Lori (Cantral) Grimit, her husband, Ralph and sons Luke and Grant of Tucson, Arizona, as they took Jerry into their home and family five years ago. Brother Tom and I will forever be indebted to them for the love and care they bestowed to Jerry.

For those who knew Jerry, know he'll be leaving for Heaven two days late and will make it to the Pearly Gates with 30 seconds to spare, with an amazing story to tell!

Jerry passed after a four year battle with colon cancer. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Jirkovsky; mother, Mae-Rita (Moser) Jirkovsky; sister, Sue Preister
Survived by brothers, Tom Jirkovsky, Jim Jirkovsky; brother in law, Ron Preister and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Memorials directed to Jim Jirkovsky to help with expenses
