    Wanda Nan Boyett, 86, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill.

    Wanda was born in Rusk, Texas on January 18, 1936 to Robert Nance and Tommie Berry Nance. She had lived in Sabine County since 1980, having previously resided in Alto, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed arranging flowers, watching the hummingbirds and seeing the mountains.

    She is survived by her daughter, Nena Chance and husband, Glen, of Hemphill; grandchildren, Kyle Knopp and wife, Amy and Ashton Daffron and husband, Jon; and great grandchildren, Shane, Logan, Daxton, Hagen, Kahlen and Savannah.

    She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jimmie Boyett; her brother, Finus Nance; and sister, Betty Esses.

    Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday 24, 2022 in Sardis-Edgefield Cemetery in Cherokee County under the direction of Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill.
