Roger J. Rut, 70, of Lincoln, died Monday, July 11, 2011. He was born October 2, 1940 in Alexandria, Neb. to James and Mildred (Weber ) Rut. Retired, Department of Administrative Services supervisor, State of Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Rut; son, daughter-in-law, Keith and Patti Rut, York; daughter, son-in-law, Karen and Todd McCain, Lincoln; mother, Mildred Rut, Fairmont; grandchildren, Micheala Rut, Emi and Sam McCain, Janell and husband Bill Green, Ashley and Lecia Reimers; special cousin, Bill Rut; numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Friday (7-15-11) St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1621 Superior St. Rev. Dan Safarik, officiating. Please wear casual attire. Reception to follow service. Visitation: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family greeting friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 'O' Street and one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, to the family.
