    Marvin Wayne Fuller, 86, of Rosevine, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Sabine County Hospital.

    He was born in Rosevine on September 21, 1935 to Joseph Spurgen Fuller and Ruth Beatrice Rainer. He was a lifetime resident of Sabine County and a member of Rosevine Church of God.

    Wayne served as a member of the United States Air Force. After the USAF, he began working for Temple Lumber Company in Pineland, where he worked many years as a Supervisor. He was a member of Forest Lake Hunting Club where he loved to go to deer hunt. He was also all about his kids and grandkids, spending all the time he could with them.

    Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Freddie Griffin Fuller of Rosevine; sons, Ronny Fuller and wife, Vicci, of Rosevine, Randy Fuller and wife, Dana, also of Rosevine, Rusty Fuller and wife, Angie, of Lufkin and Ryan Fuller and wife, Mindy, of Joaquin; daughters, Patti Fuller Hand and husband, Jerry, of Woden and Pete Fuller Babcock and husband, Deryl, of Rosevine; grandchildren, Tammy Hand, Jenny Hand Brown, Dustin Fuller, Billy Dickerson, Lauren Toups, Aaron Toups, Samantha Fuller McElroy, Demi Fuller, Chase Fuller, Seeley Babcock, Drew Fuller and Kate Fuller; and great grandchildren Sarah Brown, Dean Brown, Kaden Hand, Kase Hand, Nick Fuller, Peyton Fuller, Ascher Carhart, Addison Decuir, Aidan Decuir, Skylar Toups, Creed McElroy and Carter McElroy.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Fuller; mother, Ruth Cartwright; sister, Ramona Findeisen; brothers, Tommy Fuller and Keith Fuller; and granddaughter, Danielle Olivier.

    Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2022 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

    Funeral services will follow visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

    Burial will follow services in Rosevine Cemetery with his grandsons Dustin Fuller, Billy Dickerson, Aaron Toups, Chase Fuller, Drew Fuller and Ryon Collier and great grandsons, Dean Brown, Kaden Hand, Kase Hand, Nick Fuller, Ascher Carhart, Skylar Toups, Aidan Decuir and Creed McElroy serving as pallbearers.

    Freddie Jean Fuller, 86, of Rosevine, Texas passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at UT Health of East Texas in Tyler.

    She was born in Gravelhill, Texas on August 2, 1936 to Austin Elbert Griffin and Annie Arlee Moore Griffin. She was a lifetime resident of Sabine County and a member of Rosevine Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

    Freddie was a busy housewife that raised, along with her husband, Wayne, six children. She liked to talk on the phone with her friends and keep up with what was happening in Rosevine. She enjoyed birdwatching, particularly the hummingbirds, and tending her flowers. She also like to go to garage sales and work her crossword puzzles. She loved her family and her pets dearly.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Fuller; parents, Austin Elbert and Annie Arlee Griffin; infant sister, Bobbie Griffin; brothers, Dale Griffin, Sammy Griffin and Eddie Dean Griffin; brother-in-law, T. R. Retherford; and granddaughter, Danielle Toups.

    Freddie is survived by her sons, Ronny Fuller and wife, Vicci, of Rosevine, Randy Fuller and wife, Dana, of Rosevine, Rusty Fuller and wife, Angie, of Lufkin, and Ryan Fuller and wife, Mindy, of Joaquin; daughters, Patti Hand and husband, Jerry, of Woden and Pete Babcock and husband, Deryl, of Rosevine; brothers, Donald Griffin and wife, Delayne, of Rosevine, Paul Griffin and wife, Helen, of Rosevine, Jerry Griffin and wife, Martha, of Hemphill, and Phillip Griffin of Rosevine; sister, Glenda Retherford of Rosevine; sisters-in-law, Ruth Griffin of Bronson and Carol Griffin of Austin; grandchildren, Tammy and Mandy Hand, Jenny and Perry Brown, Dustin Fuller, Lauren Toups and Adam Nixon, Aaron and Whitney Toups, Samantha and Will McElroy, Demi Fuller, Chase and Sheridan Fuller, Seeley Babcock, Drew Fuller, Kate Fuller, Billy and Robin Dickerson and Ryon Collier; and great grandchildren, Sarah, Dean, Kaden, Kase, Nick, Peyton, Ascher, Addison, Aidan, Skylar, Creed, Carter, Alaina, Ethan and Emry.

    Burial will follow services in Rosevine Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with her grandsons, Kaden Hand, Kase Hand, Dean Brown, Dustin Fuller, Nick Fuller, Aaron Toups, Ascher Carhart, Aidan Decuir, Perry Brown, Chase Fuller, Will McElroy, Creed McElroy, Drew Fuller, Skylar Toups, Billy Dickerson and Ryon Collier serving as pallbearers.

    Golden Anniversary

    The children of Wayne and Freddie Fuller would like to annouce the 5oth wedding anniversary of their parents. They were married Aug. 21, 1954 in San Antonio. Children included Patti and Jerri HAND of Nacogdoches, Ronny and Vicci Fuller of Rosevine, Randy Fuller of Hemphill, Rusty and Angela Fuller of Lufkin, Pete and David ROUSSE of Rosevine, and Ryan and Mindy Fuller of New Caney. They have seven grandchildren: Tammy HAND, Jenny HAND, Dustin Fuller, Samantha Fuller, Demi Fuller, Chase Fuller, Drew Fuller and Chris PATE, and one great-grandson, Nicholas Fuller. They plan to celebrate the event by taking a trip to Galveston for the weekend.

    Philip Gandy

    Philip Pedras Gandy, 71, of Hemphill died early Monday, Oct. 23, 1995, at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill.

    He was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Hemphill as a son of the late Pedras P. Gandy and Wilna (Watson) Gandy and had been a lifelong resident of Sabine County. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the East Mayfield Baptist Church. Gandy was retired from the clothing and dry cleaning business with the family operated Gandy's in Hemphill.

    Survivors: wife, Emily Ann Gandy, daughters, Tera Gandy and Vicci Fuller, both of Hemphill, sons, Philip Mark Gandy of Hemphill and Jeffery Scott Gandy of Bartesville, OK; step-daughters, Diane Freedman of Beaumont, Marsha Carr and Janet East, both of Pt. Arthur; a grandson, Dustin Fuller of Hemphill; and brother, Leon Gandy and wife Frances of Oklahoma City.

    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Gravelhill community with Bro. Wendell Ferguson officiating. Interment was at Hemphill City Cemetery. Services were handled by Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill.
