John R. Young emailed, in March 2014, that she was a twin sister of Mary Elizabeth Young McLENDON, the wife of John Oscar McLENDON. Her Texas Death Certificate shows that she was a retired school teacher, and a daughter of John YOUNG and Eula DWIRE. The informant was Donald McLendon, her nephew.

Margaret married Hampton Burkhalter on 9 Dec 1917. Hampton (son of John Wesley Burkhalter and Susan "Susie" Alice Anderson) was born on 16 Sep 1891 in San Augustine, San Augustine County, Texas; died on 15 Oct 1963 in San Augustine, San Augustine County, Texas; was buried in Antioch Cemetery (Caucasian), San Augustine County, Texas.
