    His place of birth has been shown as both Kentucky and South Carolina.

    Married:
    Paul Latham has their date of marriage as March 10, 1833, in Clarke County, Arkansas. However, according to the 1835 Sabine District, Texas, census, Lewis was widowed. No wife is listed. Additionally, the children of Lewis and Nancy were not born until after 1849. Why would their be a 16 year gap after their marriage?
