It does NOT appear that the Matthew Strickland of Virginia was married to Elizabeth Loreen. This was inferred since a Matthew Strickland and Elizabeth Loreen traveled together from England on the GLOBE in 1680. That couple appears to have settled in Maryland, and died without childre
