According to her death certificate, filed by her daughter, Grace Schopf, she had lived in Everett for 13 years prior to her death (since approximately 1936), and although born in New Brunswick, Canada, she was a citizen of the U.S. The marriage register for Janet and Edwin show that Janet was born in St. John and a resident of St. John. Witnesses to the marriage were David McFadden and William Poole of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada (Courtesy of Cecelia Payne) Dorothy Wiggs, a family researcher, wrote that Edwin and Janet separated, and that he moved to Edmondton, Alberta, Canada and lived in a home there until his death. Janet remained in the States and lived with her daughter Grace, whom the family always knew as big Grace.

1. Edwin Hillier Poole was born on 7 Feb 1891 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; died about 1896.
2. Grace Miriam Poole was born on 7 Apr 1893 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts; died on 7 Jan 1983 in Everett, Snohomish County, Washington; was buried on 14 Jan 1983 in Evergreen Cemetery, Everett, Snohomish County, Washington.
3. Frederick Leslie Poole was born in Mar 1895 in Massachusetts; died about 1959.
4. Irvine Ward Poole was born in Nov 1896 in Massachusetts; died about 1948.

Notes:

Cecelia Payne of New Brunswick, Canada cites a "Genealogical CD with the first two generations of the NB families on it" as showing Leslie White as the son of George and Ann/Agnes White (d. December 20, 1878).

George White was said to have been born in Renfrewshire, Scotland. The death certificate of son, Leslie, instead shows Glasgow.

Leslie's siblings were shown as Margaret (married George Thomas Ward), Jane, Mary (married a Mr. Nicholson), Peter, George (d. January 17, 1915) and Agnes (b. November 18, 1846 d. March 18, 1928; wife of Andrew Campbell b. April 03, 1833 d. December 02, 1913).

Leslie married Elizabeth McFadden. Elizabeth was born about 1832 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Cecelia Payne of New Brunswick found the following information about Elizabeth White in the "Hutchinson Directory 1867-1868": Elizabeth White, widow of Leslie.
