Mrs. Dorothy Mae Womack Parson, 73, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Lufkin, Texas.

Dorothy was born to Tassie Mae (Walton) and William Henry Womack on March 19, 1937, in San Augustine County, Texas. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, Aunt and Friend. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with interment following in the Rosevine Cemetery in Sabine County. Visitation will be from the hours of 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas.

Her survivors include: Daughter: Darla Jordan of Pollok, Texas, Sons: Bobby Parson and his wife, Michelle of Spring, Travis Parson of Cypress; Grandchildren: Brandi Griffith, Lyndsey Parson, Corbin Howard, Becky Anglin and Cyprus, Andy Cripe and Amanda, Ethan and Parson; Great-Grandchildren: Shelby Ferguson and Elyssa Baude; Sisters: Alice Joy Haygood of Huntington, and Verline Evett of Spring.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Parson.

Pallbearers include: J.T. Haygood, Larry Bolton, Doug Womack, Dallas Bjork, Wayne Ferguson and Clint Bolton.

William married Tassie Alice Walton before 1929. Tassie was born on 10 Nov 1914 in Broaddus, San Augustine County, Texas; died on 19 Dec 1993; was buried in Rosevine Cemetery, Rosevine, Sabine County, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
