Married:
They started their wedded life on a farm east of Milligan. In 1918, they moved to their own farm one mile west and one fourth north of Burress, Nebraska, where they made their home until Charles passed away. Charles loved farming and was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors and family. Pauline enjoyed her home and family, reading, gardening and growing flowers and raising chickens. Both were members of the Z.C.J.B. Lodge (Milligan, p 219).

2. John Andrew Bures was born on 30 Nov 1912 in Fillmore County, Nebraska; died on 7 Sep 1978 in Geneva, Fillmore County, Nebraska; was buried in Bohemian National Cemetery (Milligan South), Milligan, Fillmore County, Nebraska.
3. Charley Bures was born on 19 Jul 1916 in Fillmore County, Nebraska; died on 31 Jul 1917 in Fillmore County, Nebraska; was buried in Bohemian Brethren Cemetery (AKA Cesky Bratri Cemetery), Fillmore County, Nebraska.
4. Richard Charles Bures was born on 13 May 1921 in Burress, Fillmore County, Nebraska; died on 23 Oct 2001 in Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado.

Notes:

Frank was married twice. He had seven children by his first wife, Mary Kroupa, and married a second time to Josefa Marc. Frank and Josefa, along with his children from his first marriage, came to America in 1881. They purchased the NW 1/4 of Section 29 in Liberty Township from William Hart for $1600 on June 28, 1881. The Kansas City and Omaha Railroad Company purchased a strip of land 100 feet wide through the northeast corner of this quarter on March 28, 1887, paying them $142. The railroad was built on this strip from McCool Junction to Fairbury.

Frank Bures had a brother, Vaclav, and three sisters who came to America. Marie who was married to Victor HRANAC; Anna, who was married to Frank KUCERA, and after his death she married Matej VOTIPKA and Josie, who was married to John BARNAS, and after his death to Frank PROKOP.

Frantisek married Josefa Marc before 1881 in Bohemia. Josefa was born on 9 Mar 1853 in Frymburk, Klatovy, Plzensk? kraj, Bohemia; died on 8 Jan 1927 in Nebraska; was buried in Bohemian Brethren Cemetery (AKA Cesky Bratri Cemetery), Fillmore County, Nebraska. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
