  1. 1.  Sarah Hester Haynes was born about 1846 in Georgia (daughter of Young Phelps Haynes and Harriet E. Pace); died on 19 Sep 1872 in Texas.

    Notes:

In a phone conversation with Melinda McLemore Strong, Nan McCoy Kittel, the second great grandaughter of Sarah Hester Haynes (wife of Elmer Augustus Horn) noted that Sarah Hester Haynes (Nan's ancestor) was sometimes mixed up with her Aunt, Sarah Elizabeth Haynes, the wife of William Rufus Hester. In fact her middle name was a tribute to her Aunt's husband.

Family Search shows that Sarah Elizabeth Haynes (L7GX-RHX) was a younger sister of Young Phelps. Sarah Elizabeth (born ca 1844 in Alabama) and Rufus Hester were also residents of Jasper, Texas.

Sarah married Elmer Augustus Horn on 17 Dec 1868 in Tyler County, Texas. Elmer (son of Aurin Goodgame Horn and Eleanor Deckle) was born on 7 Apr 1842 in Georgia; died on 5 Aug 1920 in Magnolia Springs, Jasper County, Texas; was buried in Magnolia Springs, Jasper County, Texas.
