    His widow, Ellen, applied for a Confederate pension on 10 July 1906. She stated John T. McLemore enlisted in Perry County on 13 May 1862 in Co C, Ninth Mississippi Regiment Cavalry and served about three years. He was discharged 13 May 1865 in Meridian, Mississippi. Witnesses to her application were G. B. LEE and N. N. LEE.

    Merritt Mullen shows her as the daughter of John CALLAHAN.

    In 1910, she was living with her 29 year old son, Scott E.V. McLemore, and next door to daughter and son-in-law Florence and Nathan LEE.

    She was living with her son, Abram "Napolean" McLemore, in Forrest County, Mississippi at the time of the 1920 census.

    Married:
    Ellen applied for a Confederate pension on 10 July 1906, based on the service of her late husband. She stated she was 65 years old (born ca 1841) and had been a resident of Mississippi her entire life. She was widowed from John T. McLemore--having been married in October 1862---and he died 4 Sep 1905.
