William Davies

Notes:

William was born in Wales, then moved to London, England where he worked as a shoemaker. Later, he moved to New York, then Chicago, and to Lee County, Illinois, where he bought a farm. He moved his family to Saline County, Nebraska in 1875 where he raised shorthorn cattle and Chester White hogs. His farm was in Section 22 Atlanta Precinct which was one-half mile west of the Atlanta City Cemetery (Milligan, p 257).

William married Martha Ellen O'Neel on 24 Mar 1871. Martha was born before 1851 in Mount Vernon, Knox County, Ohio; died on 17 May 1904 in Saline County, Nebraska; was buried in Atlanta Center Cemetery, Saline County, Nebraska. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

1. Minnie Ellen Davies was born on 16 Jan 1872 in Lee Center, Lee County, Illinois; died on 6 Jan 1952 in Friend, Saline County, Nebraska; was buried in Atlanta Center Cemetery, Saline County, Nebraska.
2. William D. Davies was born on 9 Apr 1874 in Lee Center, Lee County, Illinois; and died.
3. John Edward Davies was born on 9 Oct 1879 in Saline County, Nebraska; and died.
4. Carrie Davies was born on 9 Jan 1882 in Saline County, Nebraska; and died.
