Sarah Rozetta "Rose" Cornish

In the book THE HISTORY AND GENEALOGY OF THE CORNISH FAMILIES OF AMERICA, pp. 62-63, she is shown as the third of seven children born to Joseph Cornish (1810-1856) and Lois Smith of Pittsford, Vermont. Her father was a carpenter and builder by trade, and during most of his life lived in or near Rutland, Vt., but a short time before his death he located at Poultney, Vt.

Sarah married Carlos Sanford on 6 Mar 1865. Carlos (son of William Sanford and Betsey Tuttle) was born on 27 Jun 1820 in Castleton, Rutland County, Vermont; died on 17 Dec 1895 in Denver, Arapahoe County, Colorado. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
