Paul Williams writes that when Anna remarried Mack Tyree, she stated that her first husband died ca. 1906. However, Paul has not been able to locate a death record for him in either Crawford or Orange Counties.

John married Sarahanna "Anna" Josie Jenkins on 29 Sep 1892 in Paoli, Orange County, Indiana. Sarahanna was born on 30 Jun 1871 in Crawford County, Indiana; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Paul Williams notes this is recorded in Paoli, Orange County, Indiana Marriage Book C-8, Pg #450, 29 Sept. 1892. Indiana Birth records also indicate the couple a total of five children, two of whom were either stillborn or who died young.
