    Jack Hand Sr.

    Funeral service for Jack Hand Sr., 88, of Nacogdoches was held Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Nacogdoches Congregational Methodist Church. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches. He passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at his home in Nacogdoches.

    Jack Hand was born November 1, 1921, in Nacogdoches to Eldon and Jasmine Hand. He attended Nacogdoxhers High School and was a WWII Vet, having served in the US Navy. He worked for the US Postal Service and was a rancher. He was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church and a member of the Optimist Club.

    He is survived by his wife, Laura Belle Collier Hand; sons, Jack Hand Jr. and wife Paula, Jerry Allen Hand and wife Pattie Fuller Hand, both of Nacogdoches, and John Collier Hand and wife Eva of Hudson; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
