Mrs. Arthur Helwig

Died at her home on Pine street on Friday might, January 24, Ms. Arthur Helwig, aged 30 years.

Mable Murphy was born in Grant township Aug. 19, 1888 and has spent her entire life in Grant and Elkland townships. On December 17, 1905, she was united in marriage with Arthur Helwig and to this union four children were born. Mr. Helwig passed away June 9, 1918, and one child preceded the parents in death. Besides her three children, Grant, Clinton, and Mairion, Mrs. Helwig leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Murphy, and two brothers, Arthur and Harold Murphy, all of Cass City.

Mrs. Helwig has not bee strong for several years and when influenza entered the household Mrs. Helwig fell a victim and the disease early developed into pneumonia. Her death followed a week after that of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Arthur Murphy, who resided in the same home. The family has been sorely stricken and they have the heartfelt sympathy of the community.

The funeral of Mrs. Helwig was held Monday afternoon. Rev. J. D. Young conducted the service at the chapel in Elkland cemetery.
