6. | Col. William Henry Bonneau was born on 16 Jun 1799 in Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina; died on 25 Nov 1890 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama. Notes:
He is descended from the Bonneau Hugenots who came to America in 1690. They intermarried with the Du Bliss, Vanderhorst, and Mayback families of Charleston. Moved to Hemphill after Maria (Swinton, his first wife) died and m 2nd, Jennie Brooks. He served as Dist. Clerk of Sabine County until his death in 1879, in Mobile, Alabama. (White and Toole, p 81).
