Her spouse was said to be Joseph Isaac Clark, who died in the 1952, and was buried at the Clark-Clarktown Cemetery, with Mary Etta Macel DEAS. The Trahan Family Tree on Ancestry.com shows her husband as Barney Dillard McElroy (1893-1936). Laura Buckmaster shows Barney Thomas Dillard McElroy as her first husband, and Joseph Isaac Clark as her second husband. Laura further shows that Mary was a daughter of Joseph J. DEAS and Lula S. Williford. It appears she married third a Youngblood.

Linda King Davenport shows that the first Kate he married was Catherine Jane Polley, a daughter of Oliver J and Anglinea (Hamilton) Polley.
