Ancestry.com shows him on U.S. Civil War Soldiers, 1861-1865, Confederate, Georgia, 10 Georgia Infantry, Tenth Regiment, Company C, Private, M226 roll 12, Enlisted 24 Mar 1862. His widow, Lydia, applied for a Confederate Pension on 17 May 1909 in Sabine County, Texas. She showed that they were married on 18 Sept 1860 in Georgia and that he died on 2 May 1897 in Sabine County.
