John Shelby Caldwell

Notes:

Casagranda shows him as a son of R. S. Caldwell and Mary Shelby. At the time of the 1860 Sabine Parish, Louisiana census, a 32 year old William Cook, brick mason, born in Alabama, was living with John and Matilda Caldwell. Casagranda writes that as Matilda's brother, also named William Cook was said to have died in February 1860, it was likely another William Cook, and therefore his relationship to Matilda is not known.

8. Zachariah Taylor Caldwell was born on 23 Dec 1858 in Louisiana; died on 20 Oct 1929; was buried in Victoria Cemetery, Toro Community, Sabine Parish, Louisiana.
