She was born June 22, 1893, in Lawrence County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Walter Fl Free and Mary Jane Parker, both born in Lawrence County, Alabama. She was married to J.W. McLemore.

Burial was in Decatur Cemetery, Brown directing.
