Jane A. McFarlane, daughter of William Monroe McFarlane and wife, Christian Jane Price; born in Warren Co. Tennessee Oct. 12, 1821.

Moved with family to Texas in 1848 and married Robert B. Curtis and ..."settled south of Jasper, TX. After R.B.'s death in 1889, Jane lived with her daughters, Mallie Sims and Tennessee Gandy, and at times with Aurrie Curtis, her daughter-in-law. As was the case with her Mother, Jane went blind in her old age. She died in 1905." from speach given in 1971 by Robert F. Conn on the dedication of new stone for Christian Jane McFarlane.

Christian Jane "Crissa" Price born in Russell Co., Virginia was the daughter of Anger Price, a Rev. War veteran and his wife, Jane Price ( She was his cousin.) About 1812 Crissa married William Monroe McFarlane, a son of Robert McFarlane, Sr. In 1814 the Price- McFarlane families moved west to Tennessee.. There Wm. and Crissa raised their children: Anger Price McFarlane born 1814; Robert Christian; William P.; Jane A.; Lucy Caroline; Catherine; Martha L.; Richard James; Sarah B.;Rebecca Paralee; and Louisa Josephine born 1837. William McFarlane died in Warren Co. Tennesse in 1840.

Crissa sold property in Tennesse after the death of her husband and the family moved to East Texas in 1848.

Crissa was blind in her old age and was cared for by family members until her death in 1874
