Billy Ray Brookshire 58 passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, in his home, in Etoile. Billy was born in Gainesville, Georgia to Billy and Shirley Parks Brookshire, but he was raised by Ekron and Grace Brookshire. He worked in the Brookshire Brothers warehouse, Conoco, Remixed, and City of Lufkin. He was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and brother. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Brookshire of Hemphill, his 2 daughters: Katherine Brookshire of Nacogdoches and Faith Brookshire of Hemphill, his brother Terry Brookshire of Gainesville. Georgia and his 4 sisters: Deborah West and husband Vernon of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Connie Brookshire of Tyler, Texas, Sandra Mettlen and husband Robert of Lufkin, and Sarah Rhodes of Douglasville, Georgia. And Numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday, April 22, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St. Hemphill, Texas. Funeral service will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, April 23, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery.
