    Dorothy Rucker McLemore, wife of Abram Geren McLemore, sister of Marie "Betsy" R. Phillips, aunt of Marie "Lulie" P. Ezell, great-aunt of Lillian Clark, Braden Ezell and Jacob Ezell, step-mother of Kevin Gault McLemore and Regan Geren McLemore, passed away in Nashville, TN on September 19, 2013.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Charlie Rucker, and her grandparents, Marie Louise and Louis Plauche'.

    Born in New Orleans, LA, she attended Isidore Newman High School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Sophie Newcomb College. During her Debut season, she reigned as Queen of the Olympians and was presented at the Debutante Club, the Founders of the City of New Orleans and the Society of the War of 1812. She worked as a Social Worker for the City of New Orleans. Upon her retirement, she moved to Bay St. Louis, MS where she was very active in the art community. She traveled extensively in Europe and painted many canvases from her travels, especially from Provence.

    After Katrina, she and her husband moved to St. Francisville, LA until 2011 when they moved to Waveland to be close to her sister and her family and her friends.

    Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.

    Dorothy married Abraham Geren McLemore, III before 2013. Abraham (son of Abraham "Abram" Geren McLemore, Jr. and Nan Dyer) was born on 28 Dec 1936 in Mississippi; died on 17 Nov 2013 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
