On her FindAGrave memorial page, created by Larry Burwell, she is shown as a daughter of Jessie Frank Wall (b. 21-OCT-1843 in Tennessee, d. 10-MAR-1903), and Sarah C. Hamby(b. 17-OCT-1851 in Booneville, Logan County, Arkansas ( Scott County In 1849 ), d. 16-JUL-1937 in Logan, Arkansas, USA).

Notes:

Shown by Ken Oliver at Find a Grave to be a son of James McLemore and Mary SANDEN. Not verified. If accurate, this would make it less likely James is the son of the Revolutionary Soldier John McLemore, as John's son James married Hetty McDonald before moving to Alabama.

Other online sources, however, seem to indicate that the James McLemore who married Mary Sanden was from the Montgomery County, Alabama branch of the McLemore family ( a son of James McLemore, IV and Mary Elizabeth Harper), and not the Jackson County, Alabama branch.

Notes:

Patricia Mills notes that his first wife, currently unknown, she was said to have died ca 1848 in Jackson County, Alabama. He later married Nancy Coburn (nee Dunham).

In a note dictated by his grandson, Thomas Dickerson McLemore, to his great-grandson, Arthur McLemore, in the 1950's , he is listed as "Henery Mc.....originally from Ireland." The 1850 census shows him as James McLemore, born in Tennessee. However, those same notes of Thomas Dickerson McLemore show that Tom's father, John was of Knoxville, Tennessee. Perhaps he was confusing the places of birth of his father and grandfather. Also, Thomas Dickerson lists his brother James as Henery, and also his grandfather James as Henery. Perhaps the two names were used interchangeably.

SEE ALSO in these files James McLemore, born ca 1805 in North Carolina. It appears that this James could be one and the same as the James McLemore who was a son of the Revolutionary Solider John McLemore of North Carolina and Knox County, Tennessee. John's son James was said to have married Hetty McDonald ca 1829 and "moved to Alabama." Perhaps Hetty McDonald is his unknown first wife.
