Virginia (daughter of Walter Winkle Payne and Permelia Gertrude Gentry) was born on 23 Aug 1903 in Stephens County, Indian Territory; died on 21 Apr 1971 in Duncan, Stephens County, Oklahoma. Ken Harvey's notes indicated that they also had a daughter named Virginia and a son named John Walter. Lynell Cordell believes that Frances was an only child. She is certainly the only child mentioned in the obituary of her mother.
