    Services for Mrs. Mary L. Racek, 84, were at 2 pm Tuesday at Moser Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Audrey Scott officiated.

    Mrs. Racek died Saturday night at Birchwood Manor.

    She was born Jan. 1, 1891, in Morse Bluff and was a lifelong resident of North Bend. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of North Bend, the American Legion Auxiliary of Morse Bluff and was recording secretary of the ZCBJ Lodge of Morse Bluff for more than 30 years.

    She was married Dec. 14, 1909, at Morse Bluff to Emil Racek, who died Oct. 31, 1936.

    Surviving are two sons, Lloyd of Lincoln and Edward of Wood River; two daughters, Mrs. Andy (Margaret) Wielgus, North Bend, and Mrs. Edward (Jean) Peck, Fremont; two brothers, William and Albert Vopalensky, both of Morse Bluff; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

    Burial was in Killian Cemetery near Morse Bluff. Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge.

    Mary married Emil L. Racek on 14 Dec 1909 in Morse Bluff, Saunders County, Nebraska. Emil (son of Vaclav "James" Racek and Veronika Beznoska) was born in 1887 in Morse Bluff, Saunders County, Nebraska; died on 31 Oct 1936. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
