Often shown as the youngest child of William Hall Sr and Mary "Polly" Farnsworth. However, might be the child of another Hall family, or of a second wife? This is due to both the age of his Mary Fernsworth in 1828 (she would have been 52) as well as the ten year gap between he and his siblings.

He was said to have died in a Civil War camp in Kentucky from tuberculosis on 5 July 1862.
