Funeral services for Elmer Elijah Henson will be held Tuesday in Clayton Avenue Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Mr. Henson died Saturday in Paris, Texas. He was 85. He was a retired rancher and feed store operator in Hugo and a member of Clayton Avenue Baptist Church. Mr. Henson was born Dec. 15, 1907, to Ambrose and Rhoda (Edden) [sic] Henson in Missouri. He married Mary Elzada McLemore Aug. 21, 1926. He had lived in this area most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elzada Henson of Hugo; one son, Ron Henson of Hugo; two brothers; Paul Henson of Cassville, Mo. and Ernest Henson of Biggs, Calif.; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Rev. Dempsey Cosper and Rev. Doug McClure will officiate the services. Mr. Henson will be buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
