  Married: Information on this family based on a signed and notarized affidavit sent from Marshall Texas Harrison County Historical Musuem. It was written by Vivia Addison, child of Elizabeth Montgomery. Name listed as Montgomery-Self. States that a fire at the court house in Colfax, and after the death of Uncle Vallee, the home at Valle's Landing was destroyed. Records no longer exist. The home was situated on the banks of the Red River, about 5 miles below Colfax, La known as Valle's Landing. (Casagranda, 1850 Census, 82).
