    • Elijah Skidmore to John Hedgpeth for 25 ounds proclamtion money 250 acres at the mouth of Reedy Creek on east side of Yadkin River bought from John Howard".Proved Nov.Court 1769. This is on page 103 of Jo White Linn's abstracts of Deeds of Rowan Co.N.C. 1753-1785.

Recorded August court 1779

      Jo White Linn page 30 will written June 2, 1780 wife Mary use of plantation. Son Ralph gets use of 640 acres on N.Fork of Deep Creek where Frederick Long now lives. Son David gets 600 acres where I love and 640 acres in name of my brother David Hudspeth on path that leads to Henry Wagoners. Daughters Lucy and Catherine gets 200 acres. Exec. Brother Avis Hudspeth. brother Gibson Wooldridge and Col. Joseph Williams.N.B. son John to have money arising from sale of negro wench and 5 horses. No wits: No recorded date.

      Will Book 1 of Surry Co. on page 147 Aris Hudspeth returned the inventory of the estate of John Hudspeth. It included a "nutmeg greater" in that inventory it said " the gun shot bag and bridle taken by those who murdered Hudspeth. Returned to Court May court 1781
